Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Venue Manager to oversee operations across MAC Inc. venues, with primary responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Midland Junction Arts Centre. This leadership role combines facility management, venue operations, space activation, and stakeholder liaison within a small, dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage facility presentation, maintenance, and operational requirements

Coordinate venue hire and event execution in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders

Ensure venue safety and compliance with relevant regulations and policies

Provide leadership to the venue team and foster a positive work environment

Work with the Artistic Program Manager and Bookings Officer to maximize creative space utilization

Support the organization's strategic objectives

Required Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent management/OHS qualifications

Extensive experience in venue or arts management

Demonstrated expertise in event production and technical operations

Proficiency in MS Office 365, electronic booking systems, POS Shopify, and CRMs

Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign (desired)

Current Clean "C" Class Driver's License

Working with Children Card and National Police Clearance

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency

About Us

Formed in 1979 by a group of dedicated volunteers passionate about providing a focus for arts and culture in the Perth hills, Mundaring Arts Centre (MAC) has remained true to its origins.

Over the years, the MAC staff, volunteers and artists have delivered a diverse range of creative arts experiences, annually engaging thousands of individuals of all interests and ages.

MAC’s two venues (Mundaring and Midland Junction Arts Centre) feature new exhibitions bi-monthly and showcase the cultural offerings of exceptional local artists and craftspeople. MAC also presents a range of community projects, workshops and cultural events at the arts centres, local schools and in the wider hills community.

A not-for-profit community arts organisation, MAC is run by a volunteer management committee, dedicated professional staff and a large group of passionate volunteers. MAC provides arts leadership, advocacy for West Australian artists and cultural advisory services for individuals and organisations.
