We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Transaction Monitoring Analyst for a 3-month project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial compliance and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct real-time monitoring of transactions using automated screening systems or manual review processes.
• Analyze transactional data and patterns to identify unusual or suspicious activities.
• Investigate alerts generated by screening systems to determine the legitimacy of transactions and potential risks.
• Conduct research and gather additional information from internal and external sources to support risk assessments.
• Document findings and rationale for risk decisions in accordance with compliance standards.
• Prepare a list of questions and documentation required to collect further information upon investigation of a transaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (preferred)
• Previous experience in transaction monitoring, anti-money laundering (AML), or financial compliance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
• Proficiency in using transaction monitoring systems and tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards
