Role Overview: The Trade Finance Specialist will play a critical role in supporting construction and contracting projects by managing all trade finance activities related to Letters of Credit and Letters of Guarantee. This position ensures smooth financial operations by coordinating closely with banks, internal departments, and project teams while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations.

Trade Finance Operations: The role involves handling the complete lifecycle of LCs and LGs, including issuance, amendments, renewals, utilization, and closures. The specialist will ensure all trade instruments are accurately processed, monitored, and aligned with contractual obligations and project timelines.

Banking & Compliance Management: The Trade Finance Specialist will liaise with local and international banks to negotiate terms, resolve discrepancies, and ensure adherence to UCP six hundred, URDG seven five eight, and ISP nine eight guidelines. Maintaining compliance with banking standards and minimizing financial risk is a core responsibility.

Treasury & Financial Coordination: This position supports treasury functions by aligning trade finance activities with cash flow planning, approved credit limits, and funding strategies. The specialist will assist in managing exposure, margins, commissions, and bank charges to optimize financial efficiency.

Reporting & Documentation Control: The role requires maintaining accurate documentation and records within ERP systems while preparing regular reports for management, auditors, and stakeholders. Continuous monitoring of expiry dates, guarantees, and financial commitments ensures transparency and operational control.
