Job Description

As a Systems Administrator at Mustafa Sultan Enterprises, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure across a large and complex computing environment. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation, security, and compliance of multiple operating systems, networks, and platforms that support the enterprise's technological needs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Systems Administration:

Act as a technical expert in systems administration across diverse operating systems and platforms.

Administer and manage IT infrastructure ensuring 99.99% uptime and security.

Security & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with licensing, regulatory, and organizational policies.

Implement and manage security procedures to protect systems from unauthorized access.

Infrastructure Management:

Setup, upgrade, configure, and secure multiple servers and workstations.

Administer LAN/WAN/Web infrastructure to support business continuity.

Backup & Disaster Recovery:

Design, implement, and manage data backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.

Monitor systems and ensure adherence to disaster recovery plans.

Network Administration:

Administer networks including LAN, WAN, VoIP, VPN, WiFi, and more.

Deploy and manage active networking and firewall components.

System Integration:

Ensure proper integration of servers and workstations across the network.

Configure and administer virtualized environments using VMware, Hyper-V, etc.

User Support & Training:

Provide support for applications like Windows, MS Office, and system configurations.

Develop and implement training programs and documentation for users.

Monitoring & Maintenance:

Monitor security logs, tune systems, and conduct maintenance to optimize performance.

Perform system maintenance procedures during non-business hours.

Cloud & Virtualization:

Setup and manage cloud environments using AWS, Azure, etc.

Administer virtualized environments for efficient resource management.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed documentation of core infrastructure and IT procedures.

Provide regular updates and reports on system performance and security status.

Team Leadership:

Lead or guide other IT staff in their functions when necessary.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years in systems administration in a complex IT environment.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in system administration, network management, and security compliance.

Expertise in using project management tools and IT systems like VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, Microsoft Windows, Exchange, SQL, and more.

Familiarity with security and backup software such as GFI, Symantec, and Veritas.

Experience with Cisco, 3Com, Sophos, and other networking equipment.

Certifications: Industry-relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
