Support Officer

About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading bank in UAE, we are seeking a Support Officer for their Merchant Alliance department. This role involves managing merchant relationships, contract administration, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

Create and process merchant contracts with attention to detail

Develop and maintain ongoing promotional offers in partnership with VISA and Mastercard

Manage and organize original merchant agreements and contact database

Track contract expiration dates and manage the renewal process

Keep team members informed about contract status and renewals

Prepare and submit monthly departmental Management Information System (MIS) reports

Maintain accurate records of all merchant communications and transactions

Support the team with administrative and operational tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

1-2 years of banking experience in operations or backend administrative roles

Experience in contract management preferred

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Skills

Knowledge of UAE banking sector

Experience with merchant services or payment systems

Understanding of VISA and Mastercard processes

Arabic language skills (advantage)

Experience with database management

Knowledge of banking compliance and regulations

Requirements

Must be currently located in UAE

Home country experience in banking operations will be considered

Available to work in Abu Dhabi
