Job Overview: This role of Storekeeper cum Purchaser at Palma Beach Resort & Spa offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of a reputable hospitality establishment. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, managing inventory with precision, and ensuring timely procurement of all goods and materials needed for day-to-day resort functions. This dual-role position is crucial in maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be in charge of managing the store by maintaining proper records of all incoming and outgoing materials. They must ensure accurate stock levels, issue goods as per departmental requisitions, and perform regular stock audits. Equally important is the purchasing function, which includes sourcing vendors, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, and placing orders in line with company procurement policies.

Procurement Process Management: You will take full responsibility for the entire purchasing cycle—from identifying the need to final delivery. Your tasks will involve ensuring quality compliance, verifying purchase orders, and maintaining a reliable supplier database. You must also coordinate closely with the accounts department and other hotel units to streamline procurement procedures.

Inventory and Stock Control: Maintaining well-organized inventory is essential to this role. You will be expected to implement efficient inventory control systems and monitor expiry dates, consumption rates, and reorder levels. You should also conduct periodic physical verification of stocks and generate detailed inventory reports to help management make informed decisions.

Vendor and Supplier Relations: A major part of this job is dealing with suppliers. You must build long-term relationships with reliable vendors, regularly evaluate their performance, and ensure on-time delivery of quality goods. You will also coordinate delivery schedules and negotiate payment terms while maintaining accurate supplier documentation.

Hospitality Environment Awareness: Prior experience in hotel or resort operations is essential, as hospitality procurement has its own standards and urgency. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-centered environment, understanding that behind-the-scenes efficiency reflects directly on the guest experience.
