The Storekeeper will manage all incoming and outgoing materials related to steel fabrication, ensuring accurate documentation, safe handling, and proper storage of items. You will verify material specifications, conduct physical inspections, and maintain precise stock levels to support seamless workshop operations. Strong attention to detail and familiarity with steel grades are essential for maintaining inventory accuracy.

Steel Fabrication Store Management:

This role involves maintaining a well-organized store layout, ensuring that steel components, consumables, and fabrication tools are stored systematically for easy accessibility. You will coordinate with workshop supervisors, fabricators, and procurement teams to ensure that stock availability aligns with project requirements. Your understanding of steel fabrication processes will enable effective planning and material distribution.

Receiving and Issuing Materials:

You will be responsible for receiving deliveries, cross-checking them against purchase orders, and ensuring that materials meet required quality standards. Issuing tools, equipment, and steel items to workshop personnel while maintaining accurate records will be a core part of your daily tasks. Your efficiency contributes directly to minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth workflow.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

The Storekeeper will maintain computerized and manual records of stock adjustments, transfers, and daily transactions. You will update inventory management systems, prepare stock reports, and ensure all documentation follows internal audit standards. Accurate record-keeping is critical to avoid material discrepancies and to support transparent operations.

Inspection and Quality Support:

You will assist in ensuring that all steel materials and consumables meet project specifications before they are accepted into the store. This includes monitoring material conditions, identifying damages, and coordinating with suppliers for replacements if required. Coordination with Workshop and Procurement:

In this position, you will interact regularly with workshop teams, project engineers, and procurement personnel to ensure timely delivery and availability of required items.
