Job Description
Position Overview: The Store Keeper plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the inventory and stock levels for our catering operations. This position requires a responsible and detail-oriented individual who can efficiently manage materials, supplies, and equipment while ensuring accurate records are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities: The Store Keeper will oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of goods and supplies for daily operations. They will ensure all items are stored in accordance with safety and hygiene standards, track inventory movement, and maintain proper documentation. Regular coordination with the procurement and kitchen departments will be required to ensure the timely availability of materials.
Inventory Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, performing periodic stock audits, and identifying discrepancies. They must ensure all items are labeled and organized properly to facilitate quick retrieval. The Store Keeper will also maintain accurate data entry in inventory management systems and prepare reports for management review.
Quality and Compliance: The Store Keeper will ensure that all received goods meet the quality and quantity standards mentioned in purchase orders. They will check expiry dates, storage conditions, and handling procedures, ensuring all items comply with food safety and quality standards. In coordination with the QA/QC team, they will promptly report any damaged or expired stock.
Coordination and Reporting: This position involves close coordination with the purchasing, kitchen, and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow. The Store Keeper will prepare daily consumption and stock reports, assist in forecasting future requirements, and highlight any potential shortages to the procurement team.
Skills and Competencies: The role demands strong organizational and time management abilities, accuracy in record-keeping, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in inventory control within the catering, food service, or construction industries. Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory software are essential.
