Job Description:

A Confidential Company in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Steel Foreman to oversee steel construction operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the steel construction crew, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely, and meeting project specifications and industry standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Crew Supervision:

Oversee the steel construction crew, ensuring they understand their tasks and perform them efficiently and safely.

Coordination & Scheduling:

Coordinate with the project engineer to schedule steel-related tasks in alignment with the overall project timeline.

Quality Control:

Ensure all steelwork meets industry standards and project specifications by inspecting materials, verifying measurements, and overseeing welding and fabrication processes.

Safety Management:

Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.

Resource Management:

Manage the allocation of resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

Issue Resolution:

Address any issues or setbacks that arise during the steel construction process, including logistics, personnel, or technical challenges.

Communication:

Maintain clear and effective communication channels with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to keep all stakeholders informed of progress, challenges, and solutions.

Record Keeping:

Keep accurate records of work progress, materials used, manpower hours, and any incidents or accidents that occur on site.

Training & Development:

Provide guidance and training to steelworkers to improve their skills and ensure adherence to best practices and safety standards.

Budget Management:

Work within budgetary constraints by optimizing resource usage and minimizing unnecessary expenses.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualification:

Secondary school education is required; post-secondary education such as an associate's degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.

Experience:

Experience working as a steelworker, welder, or in a supervisory role within the construction industry is valuable.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in steel construction is required.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding structural drawings, and knowledge of steel fabrication and erection techniques are essential.

Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards is necessary.

Safety & Compliance:

Prior experience in implementing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations is highly valued.
