Position Overview:

HRSG - Innovative Business Solutions is hiring a Steel Fabrication Foreman / Charge Hand for a client in the Construction Industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication and a strong background in supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all fabrication fit-up activities in the designated bay to meet production targets.

Ensure continuous feeding of fitted members to the welding crews while maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Understand project specifications/requirements for the allocated drawings and communicate them to all relevant personnel in the fabrication bay.

Allocate work to all crews and ensure the availability of all necessary drawings, materials, tools, and tackles.

Guide fabricators and fitters to optimize man-hours and meet production targets according to project quality requirements.

Coordinate with welding crews, CNC shop for materials feeding, QA/QC inspectors for job clearance, and stores for tools and consumables.

Report ongoing fabrication issues and suggest potential productivity or quality enhancements.

Ensure adherence to all safety practices and maintain regular housekeeping to achieve zero accidents.

Maintain and take care of company assets such as welding machines, tools, gas lines, and other equipment.

Monitor workers’ leave and absences, counsel workers to reduce them, and maintain discipline within the team.

Foster a positive work environment and ensure adherence to organizational culture, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on fitter/fabricator experience and 5 years of supervisory experience in structural steel fabrication.

Preferably SSLC / ITI with the ability to read, write, and understand drawings and shop floor reports in English.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate workers.

Good verbal and written communication skills.
