Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Social Studies Teacher for middle school classes to join our dynamic teaching team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and understanding of social sciences.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons aligned with the school curriculum and educational standards

Create and maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and intellectual growth

Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs

Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations

Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents

Collaborate with other teachers to integrate cross-curricular learning opportunities

Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs

Provide additional support to students requiring extra attention

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Studies, History, or related field

Valid teaching certification/license

Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in middle school

Excellent knowledge of social studies curriculum and contemporary teaching methodologies

Strong classroom management skills

Proficiency in English language

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Education or related field

Experience with international curriculum

Knowledge of digital learning tools and technologies

Additional certifications in education or related areas
