VICC

Sr. QA - QC Engineer - Civil

Job Description

Job Overview: As a Sr. QA/QC Engineer (Civil) at VICC, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all construction works meet the highest quality standards for our high-rise building projects in Dubai. You will be the key link between site execution teams, project managers, and consultants, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and international quality standards. This role is suited for someone with extensive experience in the UAE’s fast-paced construction sector, particularly in large-scale vertical developments.

Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for leading and managing the QA/QC department on-site, supervising junior QA/QC engineers, and conducting regular inspections. You will prepare and implement detailed quality control procedures, ensure material approvals, verify test results, and coordinate with consultants for inspections and approvals. You will also be expected to proactively identify quality risks, implement corrective measures, and maintain a zero-defect delivery approach for all civil works.

Quality Assurance Focus: The role demands thorough knowledge of the QA process in construction, including material submittals, inspection requests, method statements, and compliance documentation. You will also be responsible for internal audits and ensuring subcontractors meet all quality requirements before work is approved. Your ability to spot issues early and take decisive action will be critical to the project’s success.

Leadership & Coordination: You will lead meetings with project stakeholders to discuss quality objectives, timelines, and compliance updates. This includes working closely with engineers, site supervisors, procurement teams, and client representatives to maintain alignment on quality expectations. You will mentor team members to follow QA/QC best practices and maintain professional discipline on-site.

Technical Expertise: This role requires a solid understanding of UAE construction codes, international building standards, and testing procedures. You will work with laboratories for concrete, steel, and other material testing, ensuring reports are properly documented and meet required specifications. You will also review structural drawings to detect design discrepancies and coordinate with consultants for resolution.

Documentation & Reporting: You will be expected to maintain meticulous QA/QC documentation, prepare weekly and monthly quality reports, and ensure all project records are readily available for audits. This includes preparing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Reports (CARs), and maintaining a log of inspections and approvals. Your attention to detail will be critical in avoiding delays and cost overruns.

How to Apply:
