Position Overview

International Modern Hospital in Dubai is seeking a qualified Specialist Anesthetist to join our medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate patients' pre-operative conditions and develop appropriate anesthesia plans

Administer and monitor various types of anesthesia during surgical procedures

Manage patients' vital signs and critical functions during operations

Provide post-operative care and pain management

Supervise and coordinate with anesthesia support staff

Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals

Handle emergency situations and provide critical care when needed

Contribute to resident and medical student education if required

Participate in on-call duties as scheduled

Required Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited institution

Specialist certification in Anesthesiology

DHA license or eligibility for DHA licensing

Minimum of 3-5 years post-specialist experience

Strong clinical experience in various types of anesthesia

Experience in modern anesthesia techniques and equipment

Technical Skills

Expertise in various anesthesia techniques including general, regional, and local anesthesia

Proficiency in advanced airway management

Experience with modern anesthesia monitoring equipment

Knowledge of acute and chronic pain management

Competency in critical care management

Familiarity with electronic medical record systems

Professional Attributes

Strong clinical decision-making abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team

Command of English language (Arabic is an advantage)

Commitment to continuous professional development

Strong focus on patient safety and quality care

Required Documentation

Valid DHA license or eligibility letter

Updated CV with detailed clinical experience

Certificates of qualifications and specializations

Good standing certificate from current/previous employers

Valid BLS/ACLS certification
