Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Studies Teacher to join our academic team starting February 2025. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and committed to delivering high-quality instruction following the UK curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons aligned with the UK curriculum standards

Create and maintain a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic achievement

Assess and evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate records of student performance

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular initiatives

Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities

Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress

Contribute to the school's extra-curricular activities program

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, or Social Studies

Valid teaching certification or qualification

Current UAE residency is mandatory

Proven experience teaching Social Studies at the secondary level

Strong knowledge of UK curriculum standards and assessment frameworks

Excellent classroom management and organizational skills

Strong communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience teaching in a UK curriculum school

Experience in an international school setting

Additional relevant certifications or professional development

Knowledge of UAE education standards and cultural context
