Job Description

Engineering Consortium Consulting Engineers is seeking a highly skilled and organized Site Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in structural engineering, particularly in site projects, and will demonstrate strong leadership and analytical skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Manage various aspects of construction projects, including supervising crew members and coordinating with different professionals.

Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications for construction projects.

Track and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.

Prepare and allocate budgets for materials and time, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Structural Analysis & Design:

Measure loads and pressures caused by environmental or human influences on structures.

Choose appropriate materials based on structural specifications and project requirements.

Use specialized software and tools for structural design and analysis.

Review and approve construction plans to ensure compliance with structural design requirements.

Safety & Quality Assurance:

Observe and enforce construction safety guidelines on-site.

Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain high standards in construction.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in structural engineering practices, and building codes.

Collaboration & Communication:

Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, project managers, and other professionals to develop and implement structural designs.

Communicate project details and progress to stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Experience:

At least 10 years of experience in structural engineering.

A minimum of 3 years of consultant experience is required.

Certifications: Professional engineering license or certification is preferred.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of building materials, codes, and regulations.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and logical thinking skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Must display a superb work ethic and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
