About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer/Resident Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering consultancy and construction supervision in the UAE/GCC region.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and supervise construction activities at project sites to ensure compliance with designs, specifications, and quality standards

Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and material submissions

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project progress

Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed progress reports

Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays or issues

Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements

Review and verify contractor payment applications and variations

Maintain proper documentation of site activities, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Site Engineer/Resident Engineer in UAE/GCC region

Valid UAE engineering license or ability to obtain one

Proven track record of successful project delivery in the region

Strong knowledge of local building codes and construction practices

Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in engineering consultancy

Professional engineering certifications

Knowledge of project management software

Arabic language skills

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Work Environment

Full-time position based in Abu Dhabi

Site-based work with regular exposure to construction environments

May require occasional travel to other project sites
