Job Purpose: The Site Engineer (Civil Infrastructure) will play a critical role in managing on-site operations for various civil infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing project plans, ensuring adherence to design specifications, and maintaining overall construction quality. This role requires hands-on supervision, a high level of technical expertise, and the ability to resolve challenges that may arise during project execution.

Responsibilities and Duties: As a Site Engineer, you will serve as the technical authority on the construction site, advising subcontractors, supervising the workforce, and ensuring that the project progresses according to plans. Your duties will include reviewing drawings, managing material procurement, enforcing quality standards, and addressing unforeseen site challenges. Maintaining accurate calculations and ensuring compliance with local regulations will be key expectations in this role.

Project Coordination: The position demands strong collaboration with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, and the internal project team to ensure seamless construction activities. You will also interact with clients, architects, and surveyors to maintain transparent communication channels and achieve project objectives. Coordinating with local authorities for legal compliance and ensuring project safety standards are vital aspects of your daily routine.

Quality Assurance and Safety: The Site Engineer will be accountable for implementing stringent quality control measures and health and safety protocols. This includes monitoring the use of materials, conducting inspections, and ensuring that safety guidelines are strictly enforced. A proactive approach to HSE standards will be critical to maintaining safe and efficient construction sites.

Reporting and Documentation: A major responsibility of this role is preparing detailed project progress reports. These reports should capture site activities, highlight potential challenges, and propose corrective measures. Proper documentation ensures smooth communication among all stakeholders and enables senior management to monitor performance and make timely decisions.

Problem-Solving and Technical Expertise: The position requires quick thinking and a solution-driven mindset to address technical issues and unexpected difficulties. You will use your expertise in civil engineering, knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation, and ability to interpret complex drawings to find effective solutions and ensure projects remain on schedule.
