Job Description

Abdulla Al Arif Investment is seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer - Aluminium Facade to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing façade engineering projects, ensuring that designs are executed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination:

Collaborate with internal and external teams including Architecture, Structural Engineering, MEP Engineering, Acoustic Engineering, Fire and Life Safety, Façade Access, and Project Management.

Coordinate with Main Contractors and their specialist subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.

Design and Documentation:

Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to prepare façade design documentation and communicate design intent.

Provide detailed engineering calculations, façade structural analysis, and prepare design and engineering reports for both design and construction stages.

Manufacturer Liaison:

Liaise with manufacturers and system suppliers to understand the capabilities and limitations of their products.

Offer practical advice on build-ability and façade construction processes.

Technical Review:

Review and advise on technical submittals from contractors.

Conduct site visits during construction to ensure that works are executed in accordance with the approved design and specifications.

Prepare reports summarizing site observations and findings.

Façade Surveys and Refurbishment:

Undertake façade surveys, report findings, and propose remediation measures where necessary.

Provide advisory services for façade refurbishment projects.

Contract Administration:

Handle routine contract administration tasks for office and project procedures.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputed university.

Minimum 3 years of experience in Façade Engineering, preferably with a mix of consultancy and contracting experience.

Experience working in the UAE is essential.

Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Experience with façade & structural finite element software (e.g., Strand 7, STAAD).

Sound knowledge of façade systems, design, and relevant codes and standards.

Ability to form strong, collaborative relationships with team members across various regions and disciplines.

Ability to hand sketch and present ideas effectively during meetings and presentations.

Meticulous attention to detail with strong scheduling and task management skills.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Exceptional written English and technical report writing skills.

Salary:

AED 5,000 to 8,000 per month, inclusive of fixed allowances.
