Job Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ship Chandler to join our team in the UAE. The Ship Chandler will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of vessels by providing essential supplies and provisions, including food, beverages, and spare parts. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the maritime industry and excel in delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

Procure and deliver a diverse range of supplies and provisions to ships promptly and efficiently.

Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure all items meet required quality standards and regulatory guidelines.

Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with shipping companies, captains, and crew members to understand their specific needs and deliver superior customer service.

Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate pricing, place orders, and oversee the delivery process to guarantee timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.

Manage administrative duties such as invoicing, billing, and documentation to ensure precision and timeliness in order processing and payments.

Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance service offerings and maintain competitiveness in the market.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Ship Chandler or in a similar role within the maritime industry, demonstrating proficiency in ship provisioning and spare parts management.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers.

Strong negotiation skills and problem-solving abilities to effectively handle pricing, orders, and logistics.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards for ship provisions and spare parts.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating reliability and flexibility to meet client and industry demands.
