Role Overview: The Service Business Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence within GE Healthcare’s service organization. This position focuses on ensuring smooth execution of service contracts and maintaining high standards of billing accuracy and operational efficiency. The role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple operational processes within a regulated healthcare environment.
Service Contract Management: This role is responsible for managing daily operational activities related to customer service contracts. The specialist ensures that newly installed systems are accurately created and updated in Service Max in line with Commissioning Acceptance Certificates. Maintaining data integrity and quality control across all contract records is essential to support downstream billing and service activities.
Billing Accuracy and Compliance: Ensuring timely and accurate customer billing is a core responsibility of this role. The specialist monitors billing cycles, validates contract data, and works closely with internal teams to address discrepancies. This proactive approach helps minimize billing delays while maintaining compliance with internal controls and contractual obligations.
Systems and Data Coordination: The position involves updating Salesforce opportunities and maintaining alignment between Service Max and SFDC platforms. The specialist ensures system accuracy and consistency, supporting transparency and traceability across service operations. Strong system navigation skills are required to maintain reliable operational data.
Reporting and Analysis: Generating and reviewing analytical reports is a key function of this role. The specialist prepares invoicing analysis, preventive maintenance monitoring, and operational dashboards that support decision-making. These insights help improve service performance, financial visibility, and process optimization across the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: The Service Business Operations Specialist works closely with Service, Finance, and Cash teams to resolve process gaps and operational challenges. Effective communication and collaboration ensure that issues are addressed promptly while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to GE Healthcare quality standards.
