Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Chief Accountant to lead our finance team. The ideal candidate will combine strong accounting expertise with industry knowledge of 3PL logistics to drive financial excellence and support business growth.

Essential Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Management

Lead and mentor the finance team

Oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes

Develop and implement financial strategies and controls

Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and regulations

3PL Industry-Specific Duties

Manage complex logistics cost accounting

Handle freight forwarding and customs billing

Oversee warehouse costing and inventory accounting

Monitor transportation and shipping cost analysis

Manage international trade transactions and foreign currency operations

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Develop financial forecasts and budgets

Analyze financial performance metrics

Create management reports and KPI dashboards

Present financial insights to senior management

Compliance & Control

Ensure VAT compliance and reporting

Maintain internal control systems

Coordinate with external auditors

Monitor and update accounting policies

Ensure compliance with JAFZA regulations

Required Qualifications

B.Com / M.Com degree

Professional certification (CA/CPA/CMA/ACCA preferred)

Minimum 5 years of accounting leadership experience

Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations

Experience in 3PL logistics industry accounting

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

Technical Skills

Expert knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems

Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis

Strong understanding of logistics cost accounting

Experience with automated accounting systems

Knowledge of UAE tax regulations and JAFZA requirements
