Role Overview  The Senior Welding Engineer will provide specialized metallurgical and welding engineering expertise to support complex oil and gas projects. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong field experience, and the ability to ensure that welding activities comply with contractual requirements, international standards, and evolving technological criteria.

Engineering Support  The position involves providing welding and metallurgical guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution. The Senior Welding Engineer will ensure welding solutions align with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry best practices while supporting design reviews and technical clarifications.

Welding Procedures  The role requires qualification of welding procedure qualification records, preparation of welding procedure specifications, and development of comprehensive weld plans. These activities must be carried out in accordance with project requirements, governing codes, and client standards to ensure consistent welding quality.

Inspection Activities  The Senior Welding Engineer will perform and oversee welding inspections and expediting activities related to pressure vessels, heat exchangers, skids, piping systems, general fabrication works, and structural components. Close attention to quality and compliance is essential throughout fabrication and construction stages.

Testing and Surveillance The role includes examining and witnessing mechanical and non-destructive tests required for material and weld qualification. The engineer will conduct surveillance inspections during fabrication, site construction, and welding activities to ensure adherence to approved procedures and quality requirements.

Contractor Oversight  The position involves monitoring contractors and subcontractors to ensure all welding activities comply with approved procedures, quality standards, and project specifications. The Senior Welding Engineer will address non-conformities, support corrective actions, and maintain welding discipline across project sites.
