Position Overview

ASCO Consultancy Services is seeking a highly experienced Senior Safety Engineer to join our team for an Overhead Transmission Line Project in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will have a strong background in safety engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience for graduates or 10 years for diploma holders, along with a mandatory NEBOSH certificate. This role involves supervising safety practices, conducting audits, delivering training, and ensuring compliance with EHS requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Supervision:

Audit and inspect work areas to guide managers and employees in following safety practices and eliminating unsafe conditions and acts.

Deliver safety training programs and assess their effectiveness.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with corporate, legal, and project EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) requirements.

Prepare and implement site emergency plans, MMR (Monthly Maintenance Reports), and EHS MIS (Management Information Systems) in accordance with corporate EHS directives.

Support line management in implementing ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety) standards.

Policy Implementation:

Promote environmental, occupational health, and safety awareness across the organization.

Assist the Site Manager in implementing EHS policies in site operations without compromise.

Regularly visit sites to ensure compliance with corporate, legal, and unit-specific EHS requirements.

Address and rectify non-compliance issues with the support of the project team.

Requirements

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience for engineering graduates or 10 years for diploma holders.

Mandatory NEBOSH certification.

Experience with Overhead Transmission Line projects is preferred.

Skills:

Strong expertise in safety audits, documentation, and maintaining site safety standards.

Proficiency in implementing EHS policies and procedures.

Ability to deliver effective safety training and foster a safety-conscious work environment.

Qualifications:

Engineering degree or diploma in a relevant field.

NEBOSH certificate is mandatory.
