Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Nature of Project: Overhead Transmission Line Project

ASCO Consultancy Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Safety Engineer to join a multi-billion EPC company in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of all site operations related to overhead transmission line projects. This role requires a deep understanding of safety regulations, the ability to conduct comprehensive safety audits, and the capability to train and guide teams in adhering to safety standards.

Supervising Responsibilities:

Audit and inspect work areas, guiding managers and employees to follow safe work practices to eliminate unsafe conditions and acts while protecting the environment or minimizing pollution.

Deliver safety training and review the effectiveness of the training provided.

Advise on matters related to conducting Project Safety Inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with Corporate, Legal, and Project EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) requirements.

Conduct and prepare onsite Emergency Plans, Monthly Monitoring Reports (MMR), EHS Management Information System (MIS) reports, etc., as per Corporate EHS directives.

Support line management in implementing ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 standards.

Create awareness of Environment, Occupational Health, and Safety among all employees within the organization.

Support the Site Manager in implementing Environment Occupational Health & Safety policies in all site operations without compromise.

Ensure regular visits to predefined sites/units to verify compliance with corporate, legal, and unit-specific requirements.

Take appropriate actions to close non-compliance issues with the active assistance of the project team.

Requirements:

Engineering Graduate with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or Diploma holder with a minimum of 10 years of experience.

NEBOSH certificate is mandatory.

Experience with Overhead Transmission Line projects will be given preference.

Proficient in Safety Audits, Safety Documentation, and maintaining site safety as per standards.
