Role Overview:

Avoir HR Services Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Project Engineer (Civil) to oversee and coordinate civil engineering activities across construction projects. The role involves managing project execution, coordinating site activities, monitoring construction progress, ensuring technical compliance, and working closely with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have strong civil engineering knowledge, project management capabilities, leadership skills, and the ability to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and according to approved specifications and timelines.

Project Planning & Execution:

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee civil engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review project requirements, drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction methodologies.
• Coordinate resources, manpower, materials, and equipment required for project execution.
• Monitor project progress and ensure activities remain aligned with approved schedules and objectives.

Site Engineering & Supervision:

• Supervise civil construction activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor site activities, workmanship, materials, and construction methods.
• Resolve technical and engineering issues arising during project execution.
• Ensure construction activities are properly coordinated between different site teams and disciplines.

Technical Coordination & Documentation:

• Review engineering drawings, technical documents, specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams on technical requirements.
• Ensure design changes and technical instructions are properly communicated and implemented.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, reports, site documentation, and project correspondence.

Quality Control & Compliance:

• Ensure civil works comply with approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, approvals, and corrective actions where required.
• Identify quality issues and ensure appropriate corrective measures are implemented.
• Maintain high standards of construction quality throughout project execution.

Project Progress & Cost Monitoring:

• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to project management.
• Assist with monitoring project costs, material requirements, and resource utilization.
• Identify potential delays, risks, and project constraints and recommend appropriate solutions.

Health, Safety & Risk Management:

• Promote and maintain safe working practices across project and construction activities.
• Ensure civil works are performed in accordance with applicable health and safety requirements.
• Identify site risks and coordinate appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
• Support safety inspections and ensure project teams follow established safety procedures.

Stakeholder & Team Coordination:

• Coordinate effectively with project managers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Lead and support engineering teams to achieve project objectives and deadlines.
• Participate in technical meetings, progress meetings, inspections, and project reviews.
• Maintain professional communication with all project stakeholders and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Proven experience as a Civil Project Engineer, Senior Civil Engineer, or in a similar construction role. Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, engineering principles, drawings, specifications, and project execution.
• Experience managing site activities, contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, quality control, and technical documentation. Proficiency in relevant engineering and project management software.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within required timelines. UAE construction experience and familiarity with local standards and regulations is preferred.
