Senior Procurement Officer

Job Description

Procurement Leadership ✦ The Senior Procurement Officer will lead the procurement function for the Facilities Management team, ensuring that all materials, equipment, and services required for operations are sourced effectively, cost-efficiently, and in line with company standards, while maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers across the UAE market.

Vendor Management ✦ This role involves identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to obtain high-quality products at competitive rates, establishing strong partnerships, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring timely delivery of all procured items.

Materials & Inventory Oversight ✦ The candidate will oversee inventory management, ensure accurate tracking of materials and supplies, implement best practices for stock control, and coordinate closely with operational teams to prevent shortages or delays in facility operations.

Procurement Process Optimization ✦ The position requires analyzing and improving procurement processes, documenting workflows, implementing SAP solutions for purchase orders and tracking, and ensuring all procedures are compliant with company policies and UAE regulations.

Cross-Department Coordination ✦ The Senior Procurement Officer will work closely with engineering, operations, and administrative teams to understand their requirements, align procurement activities with project timelines, and provide regular updates on procurement progress to management.

Technical Expertise & Compliance ✦ The ideal candidate will have an engineering background or technical understanding to evaluate materials and equipment, maintain compliance with safety standards, ISO protocols, and quality requirements, and provide recommendations for operational efficiency.
