QS Quest Global Markets Ltd. is a leading recruitment consultancy specializing in placing professionals in the construction industry. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a major construction group for an exciting BUILD project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for professionals who have a strong background in project planning within the construction industry and are looking to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with the project scope, timelines, and objectives. Utilize advanced planning tools and techniques to create efficient workflows and schedules.

Resource Management: Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to allocate resources effectively, ensuring that all phases of the project are adequately staffed and equipped to meet deadlines.

Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor project progress against the established schedule, identifying any potential delays or risks. Implement corrective actions where necessary to keep the project on track.

Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting any areas of concern and recommending solutions. Ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed of the project’s status.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on the project’s timeline and budget. Work closely with the project team to address and resolve any issues that arise.

Collaboration: Liaise with various departments, including procurement, engineering, and construction teams, to ensure seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Foster a collaborative working environment to enhance team performance.

Compliance: Ensure that all planning activities comply with industry standards, contractual requirements, and local regulations. Maintain meticulous records of all planning-related documentation.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience:

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project planning within the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a Senior Planning Engineer role.

Proven experience working with main contractors on large-scale building projects.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, and resource allocation.

Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing and mentoring junior planners and project staff.

Work Schedule: Please note that this position requires working 6 days a week.

Salary & Benefits:

Compensation: SAR 20,000 to 25,000 per month, inclusive of fixed allowances.

Additional Benefits: The package includes standard benefits as per company policy, which may include housing allowance, transportation allowance, medical insurance, and annual leave.
