Job Description:
As a Senior Merchandise Planner, you will leverage data-driven strategies to optimize sales, margin, and inventory across all channels. You will forecast demand, collaborate with key stakeholders, and manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) processes. This role involves developing merchandise strategies, monitoring inventory, and driving pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Planning and OTB Management: Collaborate with Buying, Finance, Retail, and Ecommerce to develop and implement a merchandise strategy. Utilize data to drive decisions based on sales trends, market conditions, and supplier demands.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory aging and recommend actions for markdowns and liquidation to meet inventory targets. Ensure alignment with Category and Brand identity.
Pricing and Markdown Strategy: Develop and implement seasonal markdown plans in collaboration with Buying and Retail teams to maximize sales and gross margins.
Risk and Opportunity Assessment: Identify risks and opportunities related to sales, gross margin, and inventory. Provide solutions and re-plan business strategies based on the latest performance data.
Assortment Planning: Work with Buying to provide recommendations for category assortments by channel, region, and store. Proactively suggest improvements to optimize revenue and profitability.
Stock Management: Monitor inventory mix across locations and recommend seasonal stock transfers to boost sales.
Requirements:
Experience: 8-10 years in the merchandising field, with at least 2 years at the Merchandiser level (P2).
Skills: Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with experience in inventory management, sales forecasting, and pricing strategies.
Qualifications: A background in finance, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
