Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

A. Shareholder & Financial:

Support VP HR Business Partners in executing HR strategies for attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining employees as directed by GM Group Human Capital.

Establish and achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the HR Business Partner unit, monitoring their progress regularly.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services to internal customers in a cost-effective manner.

B. Customer (Internal & External):

Aid in defining divisional and departmental goals, identifying necessary resources, and providing expert advice on various HR aspects like employment, counseling, compensation & benefits, talent management, training, and organization development.

Collaborate closely with assigned divisions and departments, offering consultancy support to managers and employees in implementing HR initiatives, policies, and procedures aligned with Group QNB's interests.

Cultivate strong relationships with related units to achieve departmental objectives.

Provide assistance in resolving grievances or complex personnel issues, recommending transfers and promotions, and facilitating communication and training for local customers, line managers, and employees.

Support Manpower Planning unit in developing HR planning strategies and assist in coaching employees on performance management.

Provide advice on compensation and benefits, salary packages, and market trends, and lead the implementation of global, regional, and local HR Programs.

Coordinate with legal consultants on labor law matters and supervise the identification and reporting of potential problems affecting company goals.

Assist Compensation & Benefits unit in conducting market research to establish competitive pay practices.

Facilitate Group-level Talent Management and Succession Planning processes.

Provide guidance on handling terminations and conduct exit interviews to analyze attrition trends.

Act as a focal point for employee questions and grievances, striving to retain talent within the assigned division.

Review and monitor monthly headcount and variances within the division.

Undertake ad-hoc duties and projects as required.

C. Learning & Knowledge:

Possess deep understanding of local employment legislation and compliance requirements.

Demonstrate extensive knowledge of HR practices, principles, applications, methods, and laws.

Identify opportunities for professional development and actively participate in team performance assessments and conflict resolution meetings.

Education/Experience Requirements:

University graduate with a degree specializing in Business\Human Resources.

Minimum of 8 years' experience in human resources, preferably with a local/Gulf bank, focusing on HR Business Partner responsibilities.

CIPD certificate would be advantageous.

Required Special Skills:

Strong communication skills in both English and Arabic.

Excellent interpersonal and coaching abilities.

Decision-making and initiative-follow-through capabilities.

Effective planning and organizing skills.

Motivational skills and ability to work with diverse teams.

Operating Environment/Location:

The position is based in Qatar and involves liaising with other divisions.

Periodic visits to local and overseas branches and subsidiaries may be required.
