About the Role

The Senior Finance Manager will play an important role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of the group's financial information. This position involves overseeing financial reporting activities, ensuring that closing processes are completed efficiently, and maintaining reliable financial records across the organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with relevant finance teams and stakeholders to review financial information, identify discrepancies, and ensure reporting accuracy. The role also requires a strong understanding of financial controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements. Candidates should be comfortable working in a multi-entity environment where attention to detail, accountability, and sound financial judgement are essential.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will oversee the group's financial reporting processes and ensure the accuracy of financial statements across multiple business entities. Responsibilities include leading monthly and annual financial closing activities, reviewing trial balances, examining balance sheets, and conducting detailed profit and loss analysis. The role also involves managing financial consolidation, overseeing the chart of accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of accruals and management reports. In addition, the Senior Finance Manager will coordinate audit delivery, support financial reviews, and maintain consistent reporting standards throughout the organisation. Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to identify financial reporting issues will be important for performing these responsibilities effectively.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related academic discipline. A professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA is also mandatory for this position. These qualifications should be supported by substantial practical experience in financial reporting, auditing, and financial management. The employer is particularly interested in candidates who understand complex accounting processes and can apply their technical knowledge to real business situations. A strong educational and professional background will help candidates demonstrate their ability to oversee financial operations, maintain reporting accuracy, and contribute to the organisation's financial control and compliance requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates should have 12–15 or more years of progressive experience in audit, financial reporting, and controllership. Applicants should also have at least three to five years of experience in a Financial Controller position or another senior financial reporting role. The ideal candidate will have practical expertise in financial consolidation, balance sheet reviews, management reporting, and audit coordination. Experience managing financial reporting across multiple entities will be particularly relevant. Strong leadership, analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities will also support success in this senior management position.
