Job Description
Levyl is recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation for a Senior Employee Relations Specialist to join a growing national People and Culture team and take ownership of the organisation's most complex and sensitive workplace matters. As a specialist People and Culture recruitment firm dedicated to connecting exceptional HR professionals with purpose-led organisations across Australia, Levyl brings a high-touch, values-driven approach to every search. This is a senior, high-impact role for an experienced Employee Relations professional who thrives in complex environments and brings the confidence, sound judgement, and discretion to manage high-risk workplace matters independently.
In this role, you will lead complex workplace investigations involving senior stakeholders, ensuring procedural fairness and legally sound outcomes at every stage. You will provide expert advice on Employee Relations matters including conduct, grievances, performance management, disciplinary processes, and employment legislation, and manage sensitive and high-risk cases from initial assessment through to resolution, engaging internal and external legal stakeholders where required. You will partner closely with HR colleagues to coach and support them through complex Employee Relations matters, strengthening capability across the broader People and Culture team, and review and enhance Employee Relations policies, frameworks, and processes to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement. Building trusted relationships with senior leaders, providing commercially balanced and practical advice that supports business outcomes, and identifying trends and emerging risks across Employee Relations matters to contribute to broader governance and workplace culture initiatives will all define the scope and impact of this role.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Employee Relations professional with a strong track record of leading complex workplace investigations and managing high-risk matters independently. You bring strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation including the Fair Work Act and relevant workplace frameworks, exceptional written communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail. You are comfortable engaging with senior executives, internal legal teams, and a broad range of stakeholders, and can deliver practical, balanced advice while maintaining objectivity and procedural fairness. A legal background or previous experience as an Employment Lawyer will be highly regarded, as will experience gained within professional services, government, healthcare, financial services, or another highly regulated environment.
Levyl offers a rigorous, personalised recruitment process supported by its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and bias-free hiring, connecting you with a genuinely senior and career-defining opportunity within a respected national organisation.
