Position Overview

Khatib & Alami is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with a robust background in hospitality and resort projects. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience, including at least 5 years focused on reviewing and approving shop drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, and other site documents in line with approved design packages. Experience working in consultancy firms, particularly in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) role, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Project Oversight:

Review and approve electrical shop drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, and site documents to ensure alignment with design packages.

Ensure that electrical systems are designed and installed according to project specifications and quality standards.

Design and Documentation:

Assess and validate electrical design packages and technical specifications for hospitality and resort projects.

Approve technical documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Coordination and Communication:

Work closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure effective integration of electrical systems.

Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct site inspections to verify the quality of electrical installations and adherence to design standards.

Address and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies that arise during construction.

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

Implement and oversee adherence to safety and quality control procedures.

Requirements

Experience:

Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in hospitality and resort projects.

Proven track record in reviewing and approving electrical shop drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, and site documents.

Skills:

Expertise in electrical system design, installation, and maintenance for hospitality and resort projects.

In-depth knowledge of industry standards and electrical codes.

Qualifications:

Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience working in consultancy firms; experience in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) role is preferred.
