Senior Cost Controller

Job Description

Position Overview

The Senior Cost Controller will be responsible for overseeing cost control processes, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic insights to optimize business performance. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain cost control systems and procedures to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of all business costs

Prepare detailed cost analysis reports and variance analysis to identify trends and anomalies

Monitor project costs against budgets and forecasts, identifying and reporting variances

Conduct regular cost-benefit analyses and propose cost optimization strategies

Work closely with project managers to establish and monitor project budgets

Implement and maintain cost accounting procedures using MS Dynamics 365

Develop and maintain standard costing systems

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management

Analyze production costs and recommend process improvements

Support the budgeting and forecasting processes

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

CMA (Certified Management Accountant) qualification preferred

3-5 years of experience in a similar cost controller role

Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly MS Dynamics 365

Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, especially Excel

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus

Technical Skills

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)

Experience with MS Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems

Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis

Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices

Understanding of internal control principles

About Us:

While attempting to purchase motor insurance in KSA in 2016, we found that the process was time-consuming and challenging. Not being able to evaluate options or validate prices made us realize that there was a gap in the market that needed to be filled. Building on this success, we introduced Awalmazad, an online auction platform that provides a transparent process for insurance companies and banks to sell salvage and repossessed vehicles. This strategic move enabled us to advance our position in the insurance industry's value chain, address industry challenges, enhance our capabilities, deepen our relationships with insurance companies and banks, and gain an exceptional competitive advantage.

We then launched Tameeni Health for SMEs, providing a seamless experience for SMEs to buy insurance for employees and their dependents. In addition, we introduced Treza, a key product that helps lessors such as banks and other financial providers with their auto lease insurance. Nine out of 10 leasing cars on the street are insured through Treza.
