Senior Commercial Analyst

Job Description / Role

Job Purpose:

Provide commercial representation for the company’s operated joint ventures, focusing on the interpretation, negotiation, development, implementation, and ongoing stewardship of commercial non-product-sale agreements.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

Coordination: Work with operations (including RLTO) and other key functions to plan the development of non-product-sale agreements.

Negotiation: Negotiate multi-partite agreements related to operations, usage of common facilities, shared infrastructure, facilities sharing, provision of power/utilities, and miscellaneous EPC activities within a pre-approved mandate on behalf of participating Ventures.

Functional Review: Coordinate the review of agreements and amendments by appropriate groups and management levels within the Company before securing requisite Board approvals (if applicable) and execution.

Handover and Implementation: Ensure timely handover of executed agreements for implementation by appropriate parties and support/facilitate the implementation process as needed.

Stewardship: Ensure appropriate stewardship of relevant agreements to preserve their value to the Company.

Key Job Accountabilities - II

Ventures’ Positions: Contribute to the development of Ventures’ positions on common facilities-related matters such as capacity buy-ins, agreement amendments, and budget development, oversight, and stewardship.

Documentation: Maintain clear documentation and accessibility to existing agreements or agreements under development, and a record of tasks required to fully comply with effective agreements.

Process Improvement: Improve existing processes and procedures and champion updates as appropriate.

Committee Participation: Participate in periodic common facility technical committee and (as necessary) management committee meetings, and respective venture asset team meetings.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

Experience negotiating and constructing commercial agreements related to the development and operation of large-scale oil and gas projects.

Well-developed understanding of joint venture operations and related commercial governance.

Basic knowledge and understanding of the LNG industry.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and coordination skills.

Ability to maintain clear and accessible documentation.

Proficiency in managing and stewarding commercial agreements.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to improve and implement processes and procedures effectively.
