Senior Business Development Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our luxury yacht charter company. This role combines sales expertise with deep industry knowledge to drive business growth and maintain excellent client relationships in the luxury maritime sector.

Primary Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

Drive sales growth through both B2B and B2C channels

Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic networking

Develop and maintain relationships with high-net-worth clients and travel agents

Create and implement effective sales strategies for yacht charter services

Manage and optimize pricing strategies based on market analysis

Generate and qualify leads through various channels

Market Management

Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and pricing

Register and maintain company presence on relevant OTAs and booking platforms

Update and optimize product listings across all sales channels

Manage and enhance relationships with suppliers and partners

Negotiate and review contracts with suppliers and agents

Ensure competitive positioning in the market

Operational Excellence

Coordinate with operations team for smooth charter execution

Maintain accurate client records and sales reports

Handle client inquiries and resolve issues professionally

Organize and participate in industry events and trade shows

Ensure all yacht listings are current with accurate photos, specifications, and availability

Monitor customer satisfaction and implement improvements

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in yacht charters and/or luxury tourism industry

Demonstrated track record in luxury sales and business development

Strong understanding of maritime operations and yacht charter services

Excellent network within the luxury travel industry

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

Essential Skills

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Strong negotiation and closing skills

Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities

Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools

Project management and event organization expertise

Knowledge of yacht types, destinations, and charter regulations

Preferred Qualifications

Multilingual capabilities

Experience with luxury travel OTAs and booking platforms

Background in event management

Understanding of maritime regulations and compliance

Experience in contract negotiation and management
