Position Overview

As a Senior in Audit & Assurance at Deloitte & Touche (M.E.), you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit services, building trust with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will also play a crucial role in managing audit engagements, collaborating with onshore and offshore teams, and developing effective relationships beyond the finance function to better understand clients' businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement: Build trust with stakeholders by understanding their expectations and delivering high-quality services.

Audit Management: Deliver audit services with a practical awareness of regulation, risk management, and business processes.

Engagement Preparation: Understand key statistics and industry matters before engagement, and adapt referral instructions to outline audit procedures.

Team Coordination: Liaise effectively with onshore and offshore Centers of Excellence, ensuring accurate information flow.

Risk Assessment: Link risks, controls, procedures, and findings across audit files and ensure audit quality milestones are met.

Documentation: Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewers' questions, distinguishing accounting judgements from auditing conclusions.

Relationship Building: Develop relationships beyond the finance function to enhance professional skepticism and understanding of the entity's business.

Regulatory Awareness: Maintain a practical awareness of risks and regulatory environments throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Qualifications

Education: Degree in Accounting or related field; a graduate degree is preferred.

Experience: 3+ years in public auditing and accounting, preferably with Big Audit Firms.

Skills: Ability to plan and manage engagements, supervise staff, and resolve accounting research issues.

Certifications: International accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA) is preferred, with a preference for CA.

Language: Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking, Writing); Bilingual candidates (Arabic/English) are preferred.
