Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance with local regulations, and maintain accurate financial records. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our financial reporting and analysis processes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards

Handle monthly closing procedures and reconciliations

Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare/submit VAT returns

Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures

Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits

Supervise junior accounting staff and review their work

Prepare various financial analyses and management reports

Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes

Monitor cash flow and manage working capital

Required Qualifications

Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CA, CPA, or CMA)

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE

Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE tax regulations

Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
