Duties & Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant at Protection Insurance Services WLL, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Your key responsibilities will include:
Accounting Leadership: Planning, leading, and organizing the overall accounting activities of the company.
Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting documents and presenting them to management.
VAT Management: Handling the company’s VAT requirements efficiently and accurately.
Ad Hoc Business Cases: Addressing and managing ad hoc business cases that require accounting focus.
External Interaction: Communicating and leading interactions with external advisors and partners.
Procedure Implementation: Establishing and implementing accounting procedures and documentation.
Budget Management: Overseeing areas negatively impacting the budget, identifying solutions, and reporting them to management.
Bank Account Management: Managing bank accounts and ensuring accurate financial transactions.
Financial Statements Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements for the company.
Audit Liaison: Liaising with external and internal audit teams to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
Workload Management: Managing a high workload while remaining organized and efficient.
Professionalism: Dealing with highly sensitive information with a sense of professionalism and confidentiality.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: Proven experience as an Accounting Supervisor, Chief, or Senior Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Accounting Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and IFRS.
Business Awareness: Awareness of business trends and their impact on financial practices.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, and advanced MS Excel skills.
Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
Quantitative Skills: Aptitude for numbers and quantitative analysis.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field is a must.
