Role Overview – Al Ameera Foodstuff Industry is hiring a Senior Accountant for a full-time, on-site position based in Sharjah. This position is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with strong financial expertise, food industry knowledge, and the ability to manage accounting operations effectively, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain financial accuracy, provide financial analysis, and support organizational financial management within a dynamic food production and distribution environment.

Financial Statement Preparation and Reporting – You will prepare comprehensive financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with IFRS standards and UAE regulatory requirements. You will ensure statements are accurate, complete, and prepared within required timeframes for management review, stakeholder reporting, and regulatory submission with appropriate disclosures.

General Ledger Management and Control – You will manage and maintain the general ledger by recording all financial transactions, ensuring accurate classification of accounts, and overseeing monthly reconciliation processes. You will verify transaction postings, investigate discrepancies, supervise junior accounting staff, and ensure the general ledger balances with supporting documentation.

Food Production Cost Accounting – You will manage production cost accounting for food manufacturing operations by allocating raw materials, direct labor, and overhead to production runs and product lines. You will track production costs, calculate product costing, analyze production efficiency, and support production optimization and profitability analysis.

Raw Materials and Inventory Management – You will oversee accounting for raw materials and food inventory, manage inventory valuation using appropriate methods, and track inventory movement throughout the production process. You will monitor inventory levels, manage spoilage and waste accounting, and ensure accurate inventory records for food products.

Accounts Receivable Supervision – You will supervise accounts receivable operations by monitoring customer receivables, analyzing aging reports, and implementing collection strategies. You will address disputed invoices, optimize collection processes, maintain accurate receivable records, and report on receivables performance and trends.
