Role Overview – Flying Colour is hiring a Senior Accountant in Dubai, UAE. This position requires professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA/CMA/ACCA Inter or Qualified) with 3+ years total experience and preferably 1+ year UAE experience, though freshers can also apply. Consulting firm exposure is preferred.

Financial Accounting and Reporting – You will manage financial accounting operations including maintaining general ledger, processing journal entries, managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, preparing monthly financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow), generating management reports, ensuring accurate financial records, and delivering timely financial reporting that supports business decision-making.

Month-End and Year-End Closing – You will coordinate and execute month-end and year-end closing processes including posting accruals and adjustments, closing accounting periods, reconciling accounts, verifying balances, preparing closing schedules, supporting audit requirements, ensuring accurate financial statements, and meeting reporting deadlines consistently.

Client Accounting Services – With consulting firm exposure preference, you will manage accounting for multiple clients, understand diverse business models and industries, maintain separate client books, coordinate with client stakeholders, provide accounting updates and reports, handle client-specific requirements, deliver quality accounting services, and support client relationship management through excellent service delivery.

Tax Compliance and VAT – You will support tax compliance activities including VAT return preparation, maintaining VAT records, coordinating tax filings, ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations, supporting corporate tax requirements, coordinating with tax authorities when needed, and ensuring clients meet all tax obligations accurately and timely.

Financial Analysis and Review – You will conduct financial analysis by reviewing financial statements, analyzing variances, identifying trends and anomalies, investigating discrepancies, providing insights on financial performance, preparing analytical reports, supporting management with financial information, and adding value through analytical capabilities.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management – You will oversee accounts payable operations including invoice processing, payment scheduling, vendor management, and AP reconciliations. You will manage accounts receivable including invoicing, payment tracking, collections follow-up, customer reconciliations, and maintaining healthy AR aging.

Bank and Cash Management – You will manage bank reconciliations by matching bank statements with accounting records, investigating discrepancies, clearing outstanding items, coordinating with banks on banking matters, managing cash flow monitoring, coordinating treasury activities, and ensuring accurate cash position reporting.

Audit Support and Coordination – You will support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and documentation, responding to auditor requests, explaining accounting treatments, facilitating audit processes, coordinating with auditors, implementing audit recommendations, and maintaining audit-ready financial records and documentation.

Accounting Systems and ERP – You will utilize accounting software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho, or others) effectively for transaction processing, financial reporting, data management, and accounting operations. You will ensure system accuracy, troubleshoot issues, optimize system use, and leverage technology for efficient accounting.

Compliance and Standards – You will ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP), UAE commercial company law, regulatory requirements, company policies, and internal controls. You will implement proper accounting treatments, maintain compliance documentation, and uphold professional accounting standards.

Budgeting and Forecasting Support – You will support budgeting and forecasting activities by preparing budget schedules, tracking actual versus budget performance, analyzing variances, providing budget updates, coordinating with departments on budget matters, and supporting financial planning processes.

Professional Qualification Application – You will apply knowledge gained through CA/CPA/CMA/ACCA qualifications including technical accounting principles, financial reporting standards, taxation, audit, corporate finance, and professional ethics to deliver high-quality accounting work that meets professional standards.
