We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant or Accounts Manager to join our team. This role requires extensive knowledge of accounting practices within UAE Free Zone companies.

Position Details

• Job Title: Senior Accountant / Accounts Manager
• Location: UAE (specific location to be discussed)
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in Free Zone companies

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in UAE Free Zone companies
• Previous experience in Saif Zone Sharjah or JAFZA Dubai is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of UAE accounting standards and free zone regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems used in free zone operations

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations for the company, with a focus on free zone-specific requirements
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and free zone regulations
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations
• Manage budgeting and financial planning processes
• Coordinate with external auditors and government authorities as needed
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff

Required Skills

• In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT and other relevant tax regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA) is preferred
• Familiarity with IFRS standards
