Job Description:

Chestertons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and overseeing financial operations. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting standards, regulations, and a keen ability to analyze financial data for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.

Present financial reports to stakeholders, including executives and board members.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Develop and manage the organization's budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives.

Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

Forecast financial trends and outcomes based on current data and market conditions.

Financial Operations Management:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing.

Monitor period cashflows and treasury functions of the group entities.

Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.

Streamline accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.

Assist in IT and transformation projects as required.

Compliance and Audit:

Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, filing requirements, and other statutory obligations, including VAT, WHT returns, and local CT and TP regulations.

Liaise with tax consultants to ensure accurate and timely submissions.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

Certifications: ACA, CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.

Experience: 5-6 years of experience in relevant industries.

Skills:

Advanced Excel skills.

Experience with ERP systems.

Expert knowledge of IFRS and IAS.

Familiarity with VAT, CT, WHT rules and regulations in the UAE & KSA.
