Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Secondary Social Studies Teacher to join our academic team immediately. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive social studies education to secondary school students while fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging social studies lessons aligned with the curriculum

Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs

Create and maintain a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement

Assess and evaluate student progress through various assessment methods

Prepare students for examinations and maintain accurate academic records

Collaborate with other teachers and participate in department meetings

Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress

Organize and supervise educational field trips and activities

Contribute to the school's extra-curricular activities program

Stay updated with current educational trends and teaching methodologies

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Studies or related field with B.Ed

OR

Master's degree in Social Studies

Minimum 2 years of secondary teaching experience

UAE Teaching License Support (TLS) preferred

Educational certificates equivalency completed

Must be currently located in UAE and available for immediate joining

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of social studies curriculum and content

Excellent classroom management abilities

Proficient in using educational technology

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to differentiate instruction for various learning levels

Organizational and time management skills

Professional approach to teaching and learning

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with international curriculum

Additional certifications in education or social studies

Experience with digital learning platforms

Knowledge of UAE education system
