Job description:
Execute food preparation according to the production plan, adhering to procedures and maintaining accurate records consistently.
Efficiently manage food stock, minimizing wastage through effective kitchen management practices like labeling, mise-en-place, and maintaining par levels, thus contributing to kitchen profitability.
Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with company specifications, ensuring adherence to standard recipes, and maintaining food quality and presentation standards.
Regularly inspect the quality of raw materials received in the kitchen, promptly notifying the Sous Chef of any quality or hygiene issues.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, ensuring no cross-contamination occurs.
Prepare and organize mise-en-place for menus ahead of shift start to facilitate smooth operation.
Responsively address guest feedback/complaints, communicating guest expectations to senior chefs for continuous improvement.
Uphold a high level of cleanliness in the work area and ensure proper maintenance of outlet equipment and materials.
Perform other department duties as directed by the Head of the department.
Qualifications:
High school graduation.
Certificate in Catering or Professional Cookery.
HACCP Training.
Prior experience as a Commis Chef.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
