Student Counseling and Support – The School Counselor will provide personal, academic, and social counseling services to students from early childhood through grade twelve. The role focuses on supporting students’ emotional well-being and helping them navigate personal and academic challenges within a safe and supportive school environment.

Emotional and Mental Health Guidance – The counselor will support students experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health concerns through individual and group counseling sessions. Early identification, intervention, and referral to external support services when necessary are key responsibilities.

Academic and Personal Development – Guiding students in setting academic, personal, and life goals is a central part of this role. The School Counselor works closely with students to develop self-awareness, resilience, and effective decision-making skills that support long-term success.

Career and University Counseling – The role includes delivering structured career guidance and university admissions support, particularly for high school students. This involves advising on subject choices, career pathways, college applications, and post-secondary planning aligned with the American curriculum.

Collaboration with School Community – The School Counselor collaborates with teachers, school leadership, and support staff to identify students in need and implement appropriate intervention strategies. Effective teamwork ensures a holistic approach to student welfare and academic achievement.

Wellness Programs and Safeguarding – The counselor will design and lead student wellness initiatives, workshops, and awareness programs while contributing to safeguarding, child protection procedures, behavior policies, and social-emotional learning initiatives across the school.
