Position Overview

The School Counselor will be responsible for providing comprehensive counseling services to students, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling services to students addressing academic, personal, and social concerns

Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs that support student success

Conduct assessments and observations to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies

Collaborate with teachers and parents to address student concerns and create supportive learning environments

Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation

Coordinate with external support services and make referrals when necessary

Provide crisis intervention and support as needed

Assist students with academic planning and career guidance

Conduct workshops and presentations for students, parents, and staff on relevant topics

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in School Counseling or Psychology

Minimum of two years' experience as a social worker or school counselor in a UAE school setting

Fluent in both English and Arabic

Strong listening and interpersonal communication skills

Valid UAE work permit/visa (or eligible to obtain one)

Preferred Skills and Qualities

Experience with multicultural counseling and diverse student populations

Knowledge of UAE educational system and cultural context

Strong organizational and time management skills

Proficiency in using educational and counseling technology tools

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
