Role Overview – Sailog Maritime LLC is expanding our team and seeking experienced professionals in the Shipping & Logistics industry. We have openings for Sales Executive positions for candidates who have the passion to grow, lead, and make an impact in the maritime and logistics sector.
Sales and Client Engagement – You will drive sales of maritime and logistics services by engaging with potential clients, identifying customer shipping and logistics needs, presenting Sailog Maritime's service offerings, explaining service benefits and value propositions, building client relationships, converting prospects into customers, and achieving individual sales targets.
Lead Generation and Prospecting – You will generate leads through various channels including cold calling, networking, referrals, industry contacts, and digital outreach. You will qualify prospects, identify decision-makers, schedule meetings and presentations, build sales pipeline, and create opportunities for business acquisition across maritime and logistics services.
Freight Forwarding and Logistics Sales – You will sell freight forwarding services including sea freight, air freight, land transportation, customs clearance, warehousing, and integrated logistics solutions. You will understand customer supply chain needs, recommend appropriate services, provide rate quotations, negotiate pricing, and close deals that meet customer requirements and company profitability targets.
Customer Relationship Management – You will maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensure customer satisfaction, address service concerns, identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, expand account business, generate repeat business, request referrals, and build loyal customer base that supports sustained revenue growth.
Quotation and Pricing – You will prepare quotations for shipping and logistics services, calculate freight rates, coordinate with pricing teams, present competitive pricing to clients, negotiate rates within authorized limits, finalize pricing agreements, ensure quotations are accurate and competitive, and support profitable business acquisition.
Market Coverage and Territory Management – You will manage assigned territory or customer segments, cover market systematically, prioritize high-potential accounts, plan sales activities efficiently, maximize territory coverage, track competition, identify market opportunities, and ensure comprehensive market penetration within assigned area.
Sales Reporting and CRM – You will maintain accurate sales records in CRM systems, update customer information and interactions, track opportunities and conversions, prepare sales activity reports, provide pipeline visibility, forecast sales, report on market feedback, and ensure transparent communication of sales performance and activities.
Product Knowledge and Industry Awareness – You will maintain comprehensive knowledge of maritime and logistics services, shipping routes, transit times, service capabilities, customs procedures, documentation requirements, and industry regulations. You will stay updated on service changes, market developments, and competitive offerings to effectively position Sailog Maritime's services.
Collaboration with Operations – You will coordinate with operations teams to ensure service delivery meets customer expectations, communicate customer requirements clearly, follow up on shipment status, address operational issues affecting customers, facilitate problem resolution, and ensure smooth coordination between sales and operations.
Customer Service Support – You will provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries promptly, providing shipment information, addressing customer concerns, coordinating with customer service teams, following up post-sale, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining professional communication that reflects positively on the company.
