Job Description
As a Sales Engineer at Oil Support Services, you will play a critical role in driving sales and building strong customer relationships. You will leverage your technical expertise and sales acumen to support the sales team, deliver compelling presentations, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Sales Support and Strategy:
Collaborate with sales executives to identify and target new prospects and develop strategic plans for complex sales cycles.
Support the sales team with solution selling, ensuring alignment between customer needs and proposed technology solutions.
Technical Presentations and Demos:
Create and deliver impactful presentations and demonstrations that effectively communicate the unique value proposition of our solutions.
Demonstrate the technical benefits and applications of our products to prospective clients.
Proposal and Response Management:
Manage all technical aspects of Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) responses, ensuring thorough and accurate submissions.
Develop detailed and compelling business cases for each sales opportunity, addressing client pain points and requirements.
Customer Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers.
Ensure high customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Competitive Intelligence and Feedback:
Collect and document competitive intelligence to inform sales strategies and enhance product offerings.
Communicate client feedback and requirements to the Research & Development (R&D) teams for future product enhancements.
Technical Expertise:
Apply a strong knowledge of piping components such as fittings, flanges, fasteners, and valves to provide expert guidance and support.
Utilize experience in stockiest and manufacturer sectors to address customer needs and deliver effective solutions.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support sales activities.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in a sales engineering role, preferably in the stockiest and manufacturer sectors.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of piping components, including fittings, flanges, fasteners, and valves.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and decision-makers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
Solid technical background with experience in stockiest and manufacturing environments.
Creative and effective presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and business cases.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer engagement.
