Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join our organization in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining workplace safety protocols and ensuring compliance with UAE safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of workplace facilities and operations

Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs

Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventive measures

Monitor compliance with UAE health and safety regulations and standards

Conduct safety training sessions and orientations for new and existing employees

Maintain safety documentation and records as required by local regulations

Perform risk assessments and implement risk control measures

Coordinate with management and supervisors to ensure safety protocols are followed

Respond to and manage emergency situations

Submit regular safety performance reports and statistics

Required Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role

Strong knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations

NEBOSH/IOSH certification or equivalent safety qualifications preferred

Proficiency in writing safety reports and maintaining documentation

Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office

Additional Requirements

Must be currently residing in the UAE

Must be willing to work in Abu Dhabi

Valid UAE driving license preferred
