Job Description

As a Safety HSE professional at Soundlines HR Consultancy, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices within large-scale infrastructure projects. This role requires experience specifically within the infrastructure sector, including roads, bridges, highways, underground roads, and tunnels.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Health and Safety Management:

Implement and manage health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on infrastructure projects to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential safety and environmental risks.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety measures and make necessary adjustments to improve safety performance.

Training and Development:

Provide HSE training and guidance to project staff and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety.

Ensure that all personnel are aware of and adhere to safety standards and procedures.

Incident Management:

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending measures to prevent recurrence.

Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and monitor trends to address recurring issues.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all safety practices and procedures comply with local regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Liaise with regulatory bodies and external agencies as required to ensure compliance.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and maintain comprehensive HSE documentation, including safety plans, incident reports, and compliance records.

Report on HSE performance and improvements to senior management and stakeholders.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.

Support the implementation of safety protocols in line with project-specific requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education: Diploma or any graduation relevant to safety or HSE management.

Experience: Minimum of 7 to 14 years of experience in HSE management within the infrastructure sector, specifically on roads, bridges, highways, underground roads, and tunnels.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards applicable to large infrastructure projects.

Strong risk assessment and incident investigation skills.

Proven ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.

Proficiency in HSE documentation and reporting.
